Hi Families,

We’re heading into another great week here at school, and I have a few quick reminders to help things run smoothly:

Morning Arrival
Please remind your kiddos to come straight into the cafeteria when they arrive. This helps us ensure everyone is safe, accounted for, and starting the day on the right foot.

Snow Gear Needed ❄️
It looks like we’re in for a wintery week! Please make sure your child comes to school each day with snow gear (boots, snow pants, coat, hat, and gloves). We head outside whenever possible, and being prepared helps everyone stay warm and enjoy recess.

Lost and Found
Our lost and found is FULL of winter items right now! If your child is missing anything, please take a moment to check it out. We’d love to get these items back to their rightful owners.

Label Sweatshirts, PLEASE

It’s that time of year when layers start coming off at recess… and somehow end up in the lost and found 😊

We’re already seeing a growing collection of sweatshirts and other items, so we’d appreciate your help in reminding your kiddos to keep track of their belongings throughout the day.

You’ll find some helpful tips and ideas in the Family Fun-damental section of this newsletter to support kids in building independence and responsibility with their gear.

Yearbook Photo Request 📸
As we begin thinking about our yearbook, we would love your help! If you have taken photos of school events, field trips, sports, or other school activities, please consider sharing them with Mrs. Larson at clarson@gisu.org.

Family photos help us capture moments we might otherwise miss and make our yearbook even more special for our students.
