our news:

Students celebrated earning their 1,000th paw with a Kids Rule Day including these rules: extra recess, gaga, hot chocolate and oreos, reading outside and no fundations.

In our Life Cycle unit, students have planted marigold seeds in the classroom and are already looking forward to what we can plant outside once it is warmer!
All Breakfasts and Lunches are free to all students during the 2021-2022 School Year. Please visit the Abbey Group for menus.

About Ms. Kendre

Hi! I'm Ms. Kendre, Grand Isle's third grade teacher. I am originally from upstate New York but now live in Vermont. I live with my sister and our three cats.

Sometimes it feels like living in a zoo!

Reading is one of my all time favorite things to do, as well as searching for waterfalls and biking around the lake.

Third grade is all about being a community. We work hard to respect each other as a team, to work together, and to encourage each other to learn and grow. We use learning websites such as Learning A-Z, Lexia, Dreambox, and SplashLearn. We also want to have our work be engaging and fun, working in small groups throughout the day.

Home Connection

Each week (or every other week) I send a newsletter home with some updates on what we are doing. More news can be found in the Wildcat Weekly.
You can reach me by email at
