Welcome to The Grand Isle School library

The mission of the Grand Isle School Library is to provide access to information and ideas, foster a love of reading and create 21st century learning opportunities for all.
Meet Kylle Kolk, Librarian and Media Specialist
I have lived in nine states and three countries in my life, and I have been enjoying the past year I've lived in Vermont. This summer, I spent most of my time reading, working on my home, and exploring Vermont with my spouse. I love traveling, reading, meeting new people, and eating food from all the places we visit. While I miss the people, culture, and food in New Orleans, I'm so excited to continue to meet new people here on the Islands and learn all about Vermont.
I expect all of my new students to tell me about the ways they keep warm in the winter, because I am STILL not used to the cold!
I will be in Grand Isle on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org at any time, and I will do my best to respond within 24 business hours.
I can't wait to have class with all of you and share my love of reading!
Updates from the Library
We've all settled in the library and are getting used to checking books out. Please remember to return books once you've read them!
October is the perfect time to learn about horror and themed stories. We will be trying to write our own and choose how we want to share them.
I've started my spooky season reading and would love to see pictures of my students reading their books alone or with family and friends! If you have a picture I can display, please email it to me at email@example.com!
