Meet Kylle Kolk, Librarian and Media Specialist
![]() I have lived in nine states and three countries in my life, and I have been enjoying the past year I've lived in Vermont. This summer, I spent most of my time reading, working on my home, and exploring Vermont with my spouse. I love traveling, reading, meeting new people, and eating food from all the places we visit. While I miss the people, culture, and food in New Orleans, I'm so excited to continue to meet new people here on the Islands and learn all about Vermont.
I expect all of my new students to tell me about the ways they keep warm in the winter, because I am STILL not used to the cold! I will be in Grand Isle on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. You can reach me at kkolk@gisu.org at any time, and I will do my best to respond within 24 business hours. I can't wait to have class with all of you and share my love of reading! |
Updates from the LibraryMs. Peat and I have both included 2 of our book recommendations for around the Mardi Gras tree. Is there a book your student loves? Please have them share a couple of sentences about the book and why they love it. Send them my way at kkolk@gisu.org.
Library ElectiveBoth the 6 and 4/5 library electives have started writing the scripts of their movies! They have also started making and gathering their props and costumes. We’re so excited to see how filming goes!
